domain
I bought this domain when I was a sophomore in high school. Pyroforicity is a supposed reference to the fictional love of my life, Roy Mustang, the Flame Alchemist from Fullmetal Alchemist. The actual word is pyrophoricity, which I thought was a lot cooler, but it was taken.
There are a few websites floating around on the network, most of them not functional. I have a terrible habit of not finishing what I start and I start quite a lot of things. In any case, I plan on keeping this domain, so, all in good time.
me
There isn't much to say, rather I don't want to say much, about myself. I'll let the world do the work.
I'm a Monkey and a Leo, which really just means that I'm a self-centered trickster, of sorts. I love taking pointless personality tests to see "who I truly am". It's amusing when they're dead wrong and curious when they actually get it marginally correct.
I'm more inclined towards the humanities and liberal arts (history, language, etc) but, somehow, my ultimate ambition is to become a neuro surgeon. And, when I was younger, I had a hankering for space and aeronautics. I've also wanted to be a writer, or a military historian. Sitting in a library and digging up old records of battalions that landed on the Norman coast that overcast day in the summer of '44 seemed like the perfect life.
I read a lot, or I used to (high school sucks) read a lot. The late John Updike is my hero. I'm fond of Steinbeck. My favorite war novel is All Quiet on the Western Front. I also liked Catch-22.
I watch a lot of anime. I'm in it, mostly, for the hot guys, guns and mecha. It's a motto and a mantra. I live and abide by it. When I used to write for my anime blog, I use to analyze the deeper implications of anime, but not anymore.
Teen pop, pop punk, whatever you call it, is my embarassing secret. I <3 blink-182.
me: a couple years later
I'm still, by and by, pretty much the same. Or, at least I'm inclined to believe so despite being told differently by various people. My dreams of becoming a neuro surgeon or any surgeon for that matter are on the verge of shattering and I'm finally ready to chase after some ludicrous dreams of my own and not my mothers. That overcast day in the summer '44? Ooooh, yeah.
I still read, somewhat. College isn't helping me expand my reading list. I still watch a lot of anime. I still watch mostly for hot guys, guns and mecha. Not only am I into teen pop, pop punk or whatever you call it, but add trashy pop music they play on the radio to the list.
What a strange metric this website has been for my personality changes over the years, An ever-expanding record of my growth, like rings on a tree.
